You can customize your banner by clicking on each left tab. You can add your own pictures, texts, effects, video, colors...

1) First you can select a background style and color. Then you can add a border style and color.
2) Change object's color. Often you will be able to see customizable objects in banners. Not available for all banners.
3) Do not forget to add a link in the URL field.
